About & security
What ChaosPay is, and what it never does.
An open-source interface for sending and requesting USDC on Arc. It never holds your funds or your keys.
What it is
ChaosPay builds a USDC transfer and hands it to the wallet you already use. You review the recipient, amount and network in your own wallet, and you sign there. A payment link only fills in a recipient and an amount for you to review; nothing is sent until you approve it in your wallet.
What it never does
- Ask for your seed phrase, recovery phrase or private key.
- Hold, move or sign for your funds. Your wallet signs every transaction.
- Ask you to install software or browser extensions.
- Ask for a password. There are no accounts and no sign-up.
- Contact you by email or message to ask for a payment.
Before you pay
- 01Check the domain in the address bar before you connect a wallet.
- 02Read the recipient, amount and network in the wallet prompt. If anything differs from what you expected, reject it.
- 03Only pay a link that came from the person or business you meant to pay.
- 04After paying, confirm the transfer on ArcScan with its transaction hash.
Your data
Payments, requests and contacts are saved in this browser only. ChaosPay has no accounts and no server-side database of them. The optional assistant sends the message you type to our server, which passes it to a Google AI model to answer. Do not type secrets into it.
Source and reports
The code is public, so every claim above can be checked against it. If you see something suspicious, or a link that claims to be ChaosPay and is not, open an issue.
